Ava tops cycling aggregate
TALENTED rider Ava Cunningham has topped the aggregate points table for Camperdown Cycling Club.
The club recently held its end-of-season championship race and break-up night.
During the year riders race against their own personal best times around a six kilometer road track on the outskirts of town.
This season the club celebrated five riders breaking the 10-minute mark for personal bests around the set course.
The championship race has all riders racing against their own age to the finish line, regardless of times or personal bests.
As well as taking home the overall points title, Ava also received the club’s encouragement award.
Ava was described as ‘reliable, kind, supportive to all club members and always gives 100 per cent in every race”.
Others winners were:
Under 19 – Zane Vogels; under 17 – Josh Thompson and Ava Cunningham; under 15 – Quinn Clark; under 13 – Lawson Clark.
Camperdown Cycling Club will recommence races around the start of daylight savings.
