Women celebrate first win

THE Corangamite Lions women’s team has broken through for its first win in the Ballarat and District Soccer Association.

The Lions’ women won 4-2 in front of a strong crowd at their home pitch in Scotts Creek.

Courtney Wells and Andrei O’Connor scored two goals each in the historic win.

In the men’s fixtures, Ballarat North proved too strong, winning 4-0 in division one and 12-1 in division two.

The Lions under 12s lost 3-1 in their match against Buninyong.
