Winners
SIXTEEN players contested the second round of the Davis/Alexander foursomes event at Cobden Golf Club last week.
The winners of the second round were Carmel Darcy and Di McKenzie on 73 nett who were also the ultimate winners after both rounds with a total of 141 nett.
The runners-up were Ev Boyd and Netty Hose.
Nearest the pin on the fourth hole were Dave Stewart and Ulbe Twynstra.
Other nearest the pins: 7th Alex Holster and Janine Stevens, 8th Ellen Darcy, 10th Alex Holster and Janine Stevens.
Balls down the line went to Kate Parlour and Deb Ferrari with 81 nett.
The monthly medal (stroke) and putting competition attracted 38 players last Saturday.
Finishing on nett 73, A. Holster took out A grade, followed by T. Gardner on nett 76.
B grade was won by J. Mason on 74, followed by S. Mason also on 74.
Balls down the line went to B. Welsby, M. Loving, J.Beard, D. Absalom, T. Marks and D. Darkae.
Nearest the pins: 4th W. Gibson, 7th J. Beard, closest second on the 2nd K. Duffin, closest on the 14th T. Gardner.
The monthly medal went to A. Holster with nett 73 while C. Dobson won the putting with 27.
A reminder that the Barrett Shield will be played at Timboon on May 17 while this weekend will see the privilege pot, round one of the Winter Cup (par) best two rounds over three rounds.
