Warrants conducted
POLICE from Camperdown, Mortlake and Warrnambool descended on three addresses in Camperdown last Friday to execute search warrants.

Corangamite Senior Sergeant Bill Caldow said units from Camperdown, Mortlake, Warrnambool Criminal Investigation Unit, Warrnambool Divisional Response Unit, Warrnambool Sex Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team, Warrnambool Family Violence Unit and Warrnambool Crime Scene Unit worked from 9am on Friday, May 23.
“An address in McAlpine Court was searched, where a 44-year-old Camperdown man was arrested,” he said.
“He was charged and bailed with a strict curfew to Warrnambool Magistrates Court on June 10.
“There were two imitation pistols located at that address, a taser and a small amount of amphetamine.”
Snr Sgt Caldow said a second address in Dawson Street saw police seize a stolen motorcycle, with enquiries ongoing regarding the bike.
“A second address in Dawson Street was searched, where a 24-year-old Camperdown woman was arrested,” he said.
“She was on ten fail to appear warrants – she was taken to Warrnambool Magistrates Court, and the magistrate determined to bail her until May 26 for sentencing.
“An amount of heroin was located there, some firearms, ammunition, a relatively small amount of cannabis, and a stolen motorbike.
“A third address in McAlpine Court was searched and some toy guns were surrendered to us for destruction – there will be no charges as a result of the third warrant.”
