Volleyball finals await
ROUND nine produced no changes to the Corangamite volleyball ladder.
However, the results did add to the anticipation for this week’s finals action.
Second and third teams NOBTS and Poachers played a roller-coaster match before the bell rang at 2-all.
Only one of these sides can make the A grade grand final so it will be interesting to see who produces the little bit of extra grit to break the deadlock.
Similarly, Cowgirls and Champs, who may find themselves in the B grade final, also played a 2-2 draw in the lead-up round.
Both teams have improved during the season and deserve praise for their commitment.
Cooriemungle Bulls finished the autumn season sitting comfortably on top of the table and will go into the A grade finals as favourites.
However, the experience of NOBTS or Poachers could easily bring them undone.
The 10-week winter competition is only three weeks away.
