Visitors dominate Demons

MERRIVALE scored a commanding 20.15.135 to 3.4.22 win over Timboon at Timboon on Saturday.

Ash Hunt was the Demons only multiple goal kicker with two on a day where Merrivale dominated the scoring in all four quarters.

Jack Hawkes, Hunt and Mitchell Wallace were best for Timboon in the loss.

The reserves game saw Merrivale also get the points with a 9.8.62 to 6.2.38 win.

Brad Gillingham, Zeth Kerr and Zack Lenehan were the best for the Demons, with Jack Gaut the only multiple goal scorer with two.

Timboon had a big 18.16.124 to 0.1.1 win in the under 18s.

For the Demons, Leroy Steere and Harvey Redshaw kicked four goals each, Nathan Ellemor kicking three.

Cooper Whiting, Mitchell Plozza and Joshua McKenzie were best for the under 18 Demons.

Timboon was also too strong in the under 15 football, winning 15.10.100 to 2.2.14.

Jontae Te Nana-Rodgers kicked six goals for the Demons, with Zack Delaney, Byron Woods and Riley Stephens named as best.

In the under 13s, Merrivale prevailed 2.2.14 to 1.1.7.

Benjamin Newton, Ruben Harris and Xavier McNeill were the best players for the junior Demons.

In the A grade netball, Merrivale was too strong, registering a 68-38 win.

Laura Rosolin scored 29 goals and Isabelle Moorhead eight for Timboon, with Delys Jones, Holly Kordupel and Holly Delaney best for Demons.

Merrivale had a 48-32 win in the A reserve netball.

Best for Timboon were Zalia Hanegraaf, Mereanna Van Ginkel and Sophie Walsh, with Macey Gale scoring 24 goals.

The B grade game saw Merrivale have a 46-30 win.

Rachel Richardson, Elle Bryant and Ruby Jones were best for the Demons, with Nicole Burvill scoring 15 goals and Sarah Brown 12.

Timboon had a strong win in the 17 and under netball, 54-11.

Goal shooter Meg Duro shot 31 goals, with goal attack Evie Gordon shooting 18.

Holly Delaney and Olivia Benson were named as Timboon’s best.

In the 15 and under match, Timboon had a 39-14 win.

Bella Savage scored 22 goals and Aysha Hollick 10 for the Demons, Charlie Wilson, Hollick and Ellen Whiting named as best.

In the 13 and under game, the Demons had a 37-4 win.

Emily Plozza scored 17 goals and Grace Richardson 13 for the Demons.

Lahni Hanegraaf, Breanna Redshaw and Elizabeth Plozza the junior Demons best.
