Vehicle impounded
A MAN has been summonsed to appear in court and his car impounded on Saturday as police remain out in force.
Police intercepted the 32-year-old in the Camperdown area and alledge he was a disqualified driver.
The driver is also alleged to have failed to properly restrain a child in the vehicle, which can result in a fine and demerit points.
Camperdown Police Acting Senior Constable Craig Merry said the incident was a reminder police will continue to enforce the road rules and target dangerous driving behaviour.
“Please drive safely, and make sure you drive with due care and attention,” he said.
“Police are out – we will be detecting the main five contributing factors to crashes, which are speeding, drink driving, drug driving, distraction and mobile phones.”
