Two-person ambrose
A TWO-PERSON ambrose was contested at the Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
The winners were Rohan Jones (21) and Tori Ziegelaar (12) 70 nett 61.75.
Second place was Nigel Harding (20) and Jack Rowe (10) 71 nett 63.5 from Percy Gillin (26) and Rodney Edge (8) 76 nett 67.5.
Nearest the pins: 5th Phillip Brown, 7th Tori Ziegelaar, 10th Phillip Brown and 14th Mick Plozza.
Next Saturday will be stableford.
Fourteen ladies participated in the Doris Chambers stableford event.
The winners, Nellie Cashmore and Maureen Clements (32 points), will now advance to the final at Sanctuary Lakes in October.
The runners-up were Sophie Bowker and Linda McKenzie, 31 points on a countback from Lynne Newton and Judy Delaney.
Nearest the pin on the 5th was Judy Delaney.
