Trish Taylor wins top club award
TRISH Taylor has been awarded the Max Johnson Perpetual Trophy for Best Clubperson of the Camperdown Golf Magpies Bowling Club.

In front of a large crowd, Trish was presented with the award during the club’s annual presentation day (and annual meeting) last Sunday.
The award is recognition of Trish’s work during her first year as secretary.
She was presented with the award by Max’s widow, Barb, together with their daughter Coral.
Other awards presented on the day included:
Ladies Singles Champion - Rene Wyles (marking her 11th title victory).
Men’s Singles Champion - David Bateman (for the second time).
Ladies Pairs Championship - Ro Dunstan and Keira Johnston.
Men’s Pairs Championship - Paul Richards and James Henry.
Ladies Presidents’ Handicap - Kell Edwards.
Men’s Presidents’ Handicap - John Molan.
Ladies B Grade Championship - Janet Molan.
Men’s B Grade Championship - John O’Donohue.
Ladies 100up - Kell Edwards.
Men’s 100up - Algie White.
Mixed Pairs - Janet and John Molan (who made it back to back wins).
A super veteran’s badge was presented to Marg Stephens by Steph Whiteside.
Keira Johnston was presented with a trophy for her outstanding effort in finishing runner-up in the West Coast Region novice singles.
Keira was also presented with a club cheque for $1100.00 by president Steve Lucas to assist her with uniform and travel expenses after her selection in the Victorian Under 18 team to play on the Gold Coast in June.
Steve Lucas was reelected as president for the forthcoming season with Trish Taylor continuing on as secretary.
Peter James has taken the reins as treasurer from Wayne and Rose Henry who have done a fantastic job over the last six years.
