Tough day for Lions
IT was a tough day on Sunday for the Corangamite Lions two senior men’s teams in their round 10 Ballarat Soccer Association fixtures on Sunday at the Camperdown Showgrounds.

The matches against Ballarat North United saw the Lions’ teams concede a combined 16 goals, with both going scoreless.
The division one men had a 9-0 thumping in their game.
Ballarat North United scored first half goals in the 6th, 22nd, 24th and 35th minutes to take a 4-0 lead into half-time.
The visitors were then able to score in the 58th minute before late goals in the 83rd, two in the 90th minute and finally the 92nd minute to complete the rout.
Brandon Bosher dominated for Ballarat North United, slotting through six goals.
Andrupa Diaz was best for Corangamite in the loss.
The division two men’s game saw a 7-0 win to Ballarat North United.
Jesus Vera was best for Corangamite in the loss.
The result was much better in the senior women’s game, with the Lions scoring a 4-0 win, their seventh victory in nine games.
Lara Graham dominated, kicking all four goals, scoring in the 24th, 33rd, 49th and 67th minutes to take her season total to 20.
Julieta Cause was named as the Lions women’s player of the day.
