Terang table tennis to begin
THE Terang Table Tennis Association is looking forward to the start of its new season under the direction of president Callum McSween.

Two practice/seedings will be held on April 3 and 30, followed by a singles tournament on May 7.
This will lead into the first round of competition, to be played on May 14.
This will be the second consecutive year the competition has held a singles tournament to assist with selecting teams.
Anyone wanting to play competition table tennis should head to Terang – this is the only venue between Warrnambool and Colac where you can.
Over the last few years there has been a number of new players in the competition, which has made for some very even matches.
Players are ranked and teams picked to try and have an even competition.
Returning and new players are always welcome.
The Terang Table Tennis Association’s competition is played in the Terang Stadium (Strong Street) from 7.30pm on Wednesday nights.
The season starts in May and finishes in August/September.
Anyone interested in playing competitive table tennis this year is invited to come along to these practice evenings where players are seeded before teams are selected.
As all games are on the same night, table tennis provides an opportunity for all members of the family to play.
Those who haven’t played competitively before are welcome as seeding players enables all abilities to be catered for.
The association does have bats that can be used.
Players’ ages range from upper primary school through to three octogenarians.
Players hail from all around the district.
