Terang jumps

Terang and District Racing Club president Shane Scally said the day had proved a success for the club, with both a strong crowd flowing through the gates and a successful day of racing on the track.

“It was a really good crowd, I think we got a bit lucky to have such nice weather,” he said.

“There were three jumps races, hurdles and both a maiden and open steeplechase.

“Each race had capacity fields with high standard racing – particularly in the jumps.

“Over the day the jockey challenge was won by Steven Patemnan and the main Roycroft steeplechase was won by Melbourne trainer Mark Walker.
