The ‘calling all apprentices’ program began last year and saw seven apprentices being awarded sponsorship through the Cobden and Camperdown Bendigo Bank branches.

Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank director Joan Scott said the program assists Corangamite Shire apprentices with the costs incurred by their apprenticeship.

“As our local community bank, we love to help our local apprentices in all trades to assist on covering the costs of some huge outlays such as tools, travel, uniforms or accommodation when away at trade school,” she said.

“The board encourage all employers, parents and apprentices who may have any questions to email our secretary to find out about this exciting boost to assist our young people while working through their apprenticeships.

“The board ask for apprentices to make contact with our secretary on secretary@cdcfl.com.au to be emailed an application form.”

Applications close Sunday, August 31.
