Students on target
COBDEN Technical School students are showing their aim is spot on, with several students excelling at recent clay target shooting competitions.

Year 10 student Lenny Dobbins competed at the National Clay Target Shooting competition in Perth over the last school holidays and brought home five medals.
He finished the tournament with a gold medal in the C grade ‘Champion of Champions’ with a score of 117/125 and a silver in the C grade point score with 141/150.
He took bronze in the C grade double barrel (49/50), single barrel (43/50) and double rise (40/50).
Lenny was also named winner of the C grade High Gun award and made it into the handicap shoot-off with a score of 49/50.
Eight students from Cobden Technical School attended this year’s Colac Clay Target Shooting competition where, despite facing wet and challenging conditions, they displayed remarkable determination and performed exceptionally well.
Almost 150 students competed at this event.
Lenny Dobbins won his shoot-off to finish the day in second place while Xander Weel finished second in the junior boys.
