Students celebrate their first 100 days
PREP students across the district looked a bit older than usual as they marked 100 days of learning.

Last Friday saw Camperdown College and Derrinallum P-12 College marking the milestone, with students and some teachers dressing up as 100-year-olds
Camperdown College Prep teachers Kim Robertson and Grace Coker said students looked “absolutely delightful” with their grey wigs, walking sticks and cardigans.
“The day began with a presentation ceremony that was attended by our Prep families,” the teachers said.
“The students were presented certificates to commemorate this incredible achievement, making it a memorable moment for students and parents alike.
“Following the ceremony, families joined our Prep students in a range of fun and creative 100-themed activities, highlighting just how far the students have come since their very first day.
“After recess, the celebrations continued with a special buddies session.
“The Prep students teamed up with their older buddies to design and create magnificent crowns, which they later wore during a parade at assembly.”
The day concluded with a 100 Days party with treats, music and dancing.

Derrinallum P-12 College also saw strong celebrations, with Prep-One teacher Chloe O’Brien saying it was the third year the school held celebrations for 100 days of learning.
“Our Foundation kids had just clocked over 100 days of learning, so we celebrated by dressing up as 100-year-olds and we had a few activities planned,” she said.
“We have a school mascot – Ellie the Elephant – so we went out to find 100 pictures of Ellie, we drew what we’d look like at 100 years old and we coloured 100 banners.
“All of our teachers dressed up as 100-year-olds, so it’s good to get a lot of staff involved.
“It’s just really a great day to celebrate how far they’ve come and how much growth we’ve had in two terms.”
