Strong crowd for Mother’s Day breakfast
STUDENTS across both campuses of Camperdown College had some very special visitors last week.
The school’s Parents and Friends Association ran its annual Mother’s Day Breakfast, with students from Prep to Year 12 enjoying a special morning with their mothers, grandmothers and special friends.
Acting principal Vicki Angus thanked the Parents and Friends Association for their hard work, saying this year’s breakfast was “record-breaking”.
“The building was abuzz with 276 attendees enjoying bacon and egg sandwiches, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal, juice and of course tea and coffee,” she said.
“Congratulations to Kate Hill whose ticket was drawn out of a hat at the conclusion of breakfast to win a voucher from the Camperdown Nursery and Mart.
“After the Mother’s Day Breakfast, Prep-Year Six students were given the opportunity to purchase a gift from the Mother’s Day stall to give to their mum, grandmother or special person on Mother’s Day.
“Our students are extremely lucky to be able to benefit from the selflessness of our parent volunteers and also the donations from businesses such as Woolworths, Quick Stop Cafe and Sweet Giftz.”
