The sale (interfaced with AuctionsPlus) will start at 11am at ‘Coroona’, located at 299 Caroona Lane, Branxholme.

Prior to sale day, an inspection afternoon will be held on Monday, September 1 from 1-4pm.

With 20 years of sales in South Australia and Victoria, Glatz Black Angus bulls are problem-free bulls.

Described as Angus cattle “the way they should be” (high performance, structurally sound and docile) Glatz bulls are generationally bred to be more robust, muscular and profit driven.

Glatz Black Angus bulls are ideally suited to self-replacing weaner producers with calves easily finished on grass or short-term grain.

These are the sound reasons why cattle breeders repeatedly look to Glatz Black Angus as their preferred genetic partner.

All Glatz bulls are sold with an industry leading three-year guarantee.

Furthermore, these spring sale bulls deliver breeders additional confidence having passed a full Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation (BBSE) conducted by Dr Brodhi Carracher of Livestock Logic.

BBSE covers semen motility, semen morphology and the physical condition of the reproductive tract.

BBSE also includes the assessment of feet, legs, sheath, locomotion and general confirmation.

MSA’s own ‘Excellence in Eating Quality’ award has seen pure Glatz blood steers achieve the highest honor.

These 200 steers ranked number one for MSA Compliance, MSA Index and MSA Marble Score.

The analysis was taken from a two-year delivery period and included consignments from 760 MSA registered producers.

Glatz bulls produce male offspring that reach a premium, high MSA indexing 300kg-350kg finished carcase; quickly and efficiently, either finished on grass or short-term grain.

The female offspring from Glatz bulls can advance your self-replacing herd forward; resulting in replacement females that perform and go the distance under heavy stocking rates.

They are medium framed, easy keeping and productive.

Production traits such as fertility, milk and docility are never compromised.

Selection for conformation and type are non-negotiable aspects of all breeding decisions.

The Glatz Black Angus stud female herd is maternally strong, sound structured and hardy.

All heifers are joined as yearlings.

The herd grazes dry-land phalaris, ryegrass, fescue and sub clover pastures at a minimum stocking rate of 30DSE/ha.

All stock experience significant nutritional pressure throughout autumn and winter.

The majority of bulls catalogued are from first and second calving females which have endured two of the driest seasons since records began.

Most bulls in this catalogue are suitable for heifer joining.

This 2025 Spring Bull Sale will showcase impressive 14-17 month-old sons from the following sires:

Ellingson Rangeland

Ellingson’s Angus is one of the highest credentialled Angus herds in the US.

They are renowned for breeding structurally sound bulls ideal for self-replacing cow herds.

Rangeland sons excel for calving ease, growth and maternal traits.

Black Angus Dusty Martin R608

Dusty Martin R608 excels for his combination of Physical Type and Structure in addition to high EMA and IMF - a rare combination.

He has proven to be a good option for heifer matings and mature cows alike.

He ranks in the top two to five per cent of the Angus breed for Angus breeding index, domestic index, heavy grain index and heavy grass index.

Karoo Main Event

Main Event is a proven sire who is breed elite for foot structure, positive fat and calving ease.

Main Event sons have sold to $75,000.

Glatz Black Angus have used Main Event for four consecutive years.

His first two year-old daughters have handled the environmental challenge well as young females in production.

This Spring Sale catalogue will again include Glatz’s own innovative data analysis.

All bulls will display with Glatzs’ key performance indicator ‘KPI’.

The KPI rates all bulls based on the traits of most economic influence to their southern Australian based clientele - self-replacing weaner producers whose calves are finished on grass or short-term grain.

The Glatz Black Angus KPI specifically targets the requirements of their clients.

Ben and Samantha Glatz invite breeders to inspect the sale bulls at the Inspection Afternoon and on Sale Day.
