Close to 46 players from both sides of the divide enjoyed a roll last Sunday against players they may not normally play with.

There was one game before lunch as some from Ballarat were on the road at 8am to arrive before 10.30am.

After lunch, two more games of 10 ends were played and in the end there were two winners.

On the Heytesbury side, they were Gary Langenhuizen, Joy Feltham, Neville Page and Vera Lacy and on the Ballarat side, it was the team of Robyn Dyer (Fred Salmon sub), Brad Wilson and Roelie Maslin.

It was a great day out and good to see the camaraderie and good spirits throughout the day.

Thanks to Tom Clarke (president) and Ian Hedger (secretary) from the Ballarat Indoor Bias Bowls Association, as well as Max Wines (Heytesbury president) and Simpson for hosting the event.

Next year players will venture to Ballarat and brave the cold, in air-conditioned comfort at Sebastapol Bowls Club.
