Remember to put clocks back
RESIDENTS are being reminded to ensure they turn their clocks back an hour on Easter Sunday (April 5) when daylight savings ends.
The official end of daylight savings is 2am on Sunday, with Victorians to gain an extra hour of sleep.
Modern phones, computers, watches, alarms and even some vehicle clocks with internet access will automatically change, but analogue clocks and watches will still need to be wound back an hour.

Daylight Savings Time was first introduced in 1916 to assist soldiers during war and continues to this day to better align society with more usable hours of daylight.
Daylight savings will resume again on Sunday, October 4, when clocks will be put forward one hour.
