Races get longer

THE races are getting longer as the Camperdown Pigeon Club liberation points reach 300 kilometres.

Last Sunday’s race was from Lascelles and the birds were released into a light wind and sunny conditions.

Rex Perkins won with a time of 4 hrs, 11 mins, 53 secs.

Results went as follows:

1st Rex Perkins (velocity 1209.24 m/mins); 2nd G. and S. McKenzie(velocity 1174. 28 m/ mins).

Another race will be held from Lascelles next Sunday and basketing will happen at 5pm Saturday.
