Police call for driver caution
A HEAD-ON collision n Manifold Street in Camperdown has renewed calls from police for drivers to take care on the roads.
Police, Ambulance Victoria and Camperdown State Emergency Services (SES) were called to the incident at around 10pm on Tuesday, but no major injuries were reported.
Camperdown Police Sergeant David Gaw said one of the drivers involved had failed to give way.
“Manifold Street was closed off for about an hour,” he said.
“Paramedics checked over one driver, but she was okay.”
Sgt Gaw urged drivers to be cautious when driving.
“There have been a few minor accidents lately, so we’re trying to get everyone to take care on the roads wherever possible and slow down, especially when the roads are wet,” he said.
“Drivers need to take more care on the road and just take their time.”
