Outdoor dining unveiled
RESIDENTS and visitors of Sunnyside House can enjoy sheltered outdoor dining thanks to the recent installation of a pergola.
Stylish dining: Residents of Sunnyside House can enjoy an outdoor meal with their families thanks to a recent upgrade creating a sheltered outdoor area.
The pergola was funded by a bequest from the estate of Graeme and Beverley Bant, as well as funds raised through the Sunnyside House Op Shop.
Sunnyside House chief executive officer Jo Forrest said the outdoor dining area is fitted with new outdoor furniture and has weather protection blinds to promote use year-round.
“The expanded outdoor dining area is to create additional dining options for residents – people can eat with their families outside in weather-protected eating areas,” she said.
“It’s a little bit wintry at the moment, but since the pergola has been finished, families and visitors have been going out and enjoying the outdoor area a lot.”
