Open combine race

PIGEON racers took part in an open combine competition last weekend.

Members from Camperdown, Colac, Warrnambool and Portland were invited to compete in the race, which started in Mildura.

Local Camperdown flyer Graeme McKenzie gained seventh position in the race.

His clocked pigeon arrived home in seven hours, 16 minute and 57 seconds (velocity 1041.57 m/mins).

This weekend another combine race will be held from both Mildura and Broken Hill on separate days.

Basketing will take place on Thursday at 5pm.
