Noorat Show ready to draw a crowd
AN ACTION-PACKED day is tipped when the 2025 Noorat Show returns to the foot of the mount this weekend.

The Noorat Recreation Reserve will be abuzz with excitement for the event which each year sees thousands descend on the village which boasts a population just over 300 people for one of the state’s most widely respected agricultural shows.
Noorat Show committee president Rob Onley said he was excited for what is expected to be a big dayr.
“We’re looking forward to everyone coming along and enjoying the day,” he said.
“It’ll be a massively packed day but we want it to be a push for people to get through everything.
“That’s the unseen value for people.
“When there’s so much which can be done on show day.
“For the cost of the entry fee, there’s so much which can be done – and if you grab your early-bird tickets up until the day before the show, you’ll save $5 on admission.”
The 2025 Noorat Show will feature livestock competitions, homecraft displays, rides and attractions, children’s entertainment, trade exhibitions showcasing some of the latest in agricultural equipment, woodchopping and a show and shine event.
The popular Nibble and Nosh Food expo will also return to showcase some of the best food the region has to offer.
“We’re feeling good – the grounds are looking as good as they’ve looked in a few years,” Mr Onley said.
“The season has helped that a bit, but also our volunteers have really got in.
“As far as presentation goes, we’re on point for a big show.
“It’s all ticking along pretty good.”
Mr Onley offered thanks to the dedicated team of around 30 volunteers who diligently work in the lead up to the day.
He said some of the volunteers aren’t even on the committee – but every November seem to show up with rolled up sleeves to make sure the village’s beloved annual event is ready.
“It’s an ever-changing thing when it comes to volunteers because people are happy to do what they can,” Mr Onley said.
“It used to be a working bee a month before the show, every Saturday, which we still do but it’s changed in the last few years as people get busier.
“Now we have people coming up during the week to do whatever they can to help out.
“It’s a really big team effort and you often don’t know who has been and who hasn’t – you just show up and the job’s been done.
“It’s awesome, and a credit to the community.”
Gates to the 2025 Noorat Show will open from 9am this Saturday, November 15.
