New interim principal announced
AN acting principal has been appointed at Cobden Technical School for when principal Rohan Keert leaves in May.
Mr Keert congratulated Narelle Holliday on the appointment, which will start on May 20.
He said Ms Holliday was selected by an interview panel consisting of senior education department staff and a secondary school principal.
“Our school will be in safe hands under the capable leadership of Narelle and assistant principal Sarah Cook,” Mr Keert said.
“Narelle is well equipped to lead the 2024 major priorities which include the school review and $6.6M school upgrade, while maintaining our focus on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes, and embedding School Wide Positive Behaviour initiatives through the Cobden Technical School Matrix.”
The process to recruit the next ongoing principal for the school will take place in the second half of 2024.
