Informative session: Psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg will be visiting Camperdown next week as part of the 2025 Youth Mental Health Roadshow.

The roadshow, run by Brophy Family and Youth Services, will see Dr Carr-Gregg visit six regional locations across south west Victoria, delivering expert advice and practical strategies to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

The roadshow includes two free sessions at each location – one tailored for educators and another for parents and carers of primary and secondary school-aged young people.

The educator session will run from 4.30-5.30pm, and the session for parents and carers runs from 7-8pm on Wednesday, May 7.

Dr Carr-Gregg’s presentations will focus on building resilience, supporting student wellbeing and navigating the challenges facing young people.

A Brophy spokesperson said the value of education for youth mental health was of utmost importance.

“Now, more than ever, young people need the support of informed, connected adults in their lives,” the spokesperson said.

“These sessions are about empowering communities with evidence-based strategies that make a real difference.

“Dr Carr-Gregg’s sessions are known for being engaging, relatable, and full of advice that can be implemented immediately to support young people’s mental health.

“Whether you’re concerned about your child’s wellbeing or simply want to stay informed, this is an invaluable opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s most respected voices in youth mental health.

“We’re encouraging parents, carers and educators across the region to register and take advantage of this free event.”

The roadshow is proudly supported by Brophy Family and Youth Services, School Focused Youth Service (SFYS), and the Department of Education and Training Victoria.
