Man airlifted after crash

A FORTY-SIX-year-old man was airlifted to hospital following a single vehicle accident on the Camperdown-Lismore Road last Friday.

The incident occurred around 9pm in Kariah, with the man crashing into a group of trees.

SES and CFA units were on the scene to assist in removing the driver from the vehicle.

Sergeant David Gaw said the man was taken to hospital for further observation.

“It wasn’t life-threatening,” he said.

“He got flown by ambulance to hospital in Melbourne.

“Police will be undergoing further investigation into the matter.”
