Maiden win for Lions
THE Corangamite Lions have scored their maiden win in the Ballarat and District Soccer Association with a 5-2 win over Creswick.

The Lions had players red carded at the 26 and 55 minute marks, leaving them with nine on the pitch for much of the second half.
“A very impressive effort to dig out a win with nine players after being tied two all at half time,” Lions coach Aaron Corrigan said.
“We were very stylish in defence.”
Robbie Ayimba scored a hat-trick, while Lachlan Rosolin scored the other two goals - both times being on the end of a long ball over the top.
Corrigan said the Lions had embraced life in the Ballarat and District Soccer Association.
“The standard of play and officiating is definitely a step up; the clubs are very well run and it’s a joy to be amongst it.
“Very pleasing to get that first win”.
The division two Lions lost 0-2, while the Lions’division one women’s team had a three all draw.
The competition now pauses for the Easter break, with the next games on Sunday, April 27.
