Machinery fire brought under control
COUNTRY Fire Authority (CFA) volunteers were quick to bring a small fire under control in Terang last week.
Quick response: The rapid arrival of four Country Fire Authority units helped to bring a fire under control last week.
The outbreak occurred last Tuesday, June 23 at the Ridley Agriproducts premises on Peterborough Road.
The fire was detected at around 5.45pm with four crews rushing to the scene for rapid containment.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was brought under control within half an hour.
“CFA responded to reports of a machinery fire at around 5.45pm on Peterborough Road in Terang,” the spokesperson said.

On the scene: The site was declared safe within half an hour thanks to the efforts of CFA volunteers.
“Four CFA units attended the scene alongside Fire Rescue Victoria.
“Upon arrival, crews found a small machinery fire.
“The fire was contained to the affected machinery.
“The incident was deemed under control at 6.07pm and declared safe at 6.36pm.”
