Little aths returns
LAST Friday saw the return of little athletics to the Camperdown College Sports Precinct Oval after the Christmas and New Year break.
The first night back was a warm one, with all age groups completing hurdles (which are always time consuming) and also many athletes wanting to practice their skills for the upcoming Western Region Track and Field Carnival.
The club is grateful for the patience and support of all the athletes and parents, and pleased the club can offer some extra practice for those wishing to be able to do their best at next week’s regionals.
Thank you to coach Kathy, Krystal, Kristy, Lauren and Cindy for supporting those athletes.
Next week is the Western Country Region Track and Field Carnival at Llanberris Oval, Ballarat.
Twenty-seven athletes from the centre will compete over the two days, in what is always a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, try a new track and have fun.
The club wishes all athletes the best and looks forward to seeing your results and photos from the event.
The usual Friday night session will be as programmed and will be a great chance for our athletes to get a last hit out before the weekend.

A reminder to all families that this week will be the third last session of the season, and the club will also be supporting the Terang Lions Club fun run on February 23 (no Friday night track session fun run night.)

The AGM is fast approaching.
Any parents who are thinking about coming on board please speak to any committee member for more information.
It is great when lots of parents/guardians get involved and help to support and build the centre.
CLAC44 has some roles that do not require attendance at meetings (should this be a barrier to your interest).
The presentation night will be held mid-March and will be a celebration of the season that was.
The club hopes to see all athletes and their families in attendance. More information will be released in the coming few weeks.
