Jane McSween awarded CTC’s Tony
THE Camperdown Theatre Company (CTC) has recognised a long-serving member of the company for her dedication last Saturday.

Musician Jane McSween was awarded the second CTC ‘Tony Award’ for her commitment and dedication to the company since 2011.
Ms McSween said it was a “great surprise” to be presented the award which was presented by CTC stalwart Tony Dupleix at the closing night of the Clue On Stage production.
“It was a great honour, and I certainly didn’t expect to receive it,” she said.
“The theatre company are my family, and to be honoured like that by the theatre company was extraordinary.
“Tony was describing this person who sounded like they really give a lot to the theatre company, and I thought this was a very deserving recipient – I couldn’t believe it when it was my name that came out.
“We were surrounded by the whole cast and crew of Clue, and it was a special moment and a great honour to be given the award by someone like Tony Dupleix – who has given so much to the theatre himself.”
Ms McSween said she was grateful for the support of her family during productions and rehearsal periods.
“Big thanks to my lovely family for their support, because I certainly can’t do all this without support from my family and their understanding I’m busy rehearsing a lot of the time,” she said.
“I’ve very fortunate to have the support around me that I have.”
Mr Dupleix said the award recognises volunteer excellence in perpetuity.
“It is a pleasure to present the award to Jane, who has been such a vital part of so many productions, having been either musical director or solo musician for ten productions since Godspell in 2011,” Mr Dupleix said.
“Her contribution to CTC has transformed our music department and is an outstanding example of volunteer excellence.”
