High-scoring win last weekend
CORANGAMITE Hockey’s women’s side celebrated a 16-13 win last weekend.
In what was a high-scoring match against the Strikers at South West Hockey, Warrnambool last weekend, the team showed great skill across the pitch.
Akeisha was the team’s top goal scorer with six goals, while Megan wasn’t far behind with five.
Taliyah, Ava and Sally also contributed to the scoreboard.
In the under 18 match against Technique last Friday, Corangamite held strong in defence and continued to drive the play up the wings.
Great communication allowed the team’s forwards to move the play into the goal area.
Brady scored the first goal, followed by Charlotte – the team going down 2-3.
The ‘You Rock’ award went to Saxxon who played a great defensive game.
Round seven of the under 15s competition saw Corangamite showcase some excellent team-work and positional play against the Panthers.
A highlight of the match was the smooth passing and smart set-ups that created strong scoring opportunities.
The team celebrated a strong 11-0 win.
Tavish lit up the scoreboard with a hat tfick while Akeisha was on fire with four goals of her own.
A big shout out to Maisie who earned the ‘You Rock’ award for her unselfish play and sharp assists, consistently setting up her team mates for success.
