Heffernan wins stableford

EIGHT players competed in a stableford event at the Terang Golf Club last Thursday.

The winner was Jane Heffernan with 33 points, following by Aileen Clarke on 30.

Balls down the line went to Judy Carmody on 28 points.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Kerri Cakebread, 6th Judy Carmody, 9th from off the green Heather Holmes and 11th Jo Arundell.

Twelve players competed in the 18-hole all day event, which was won by Terry Beasley on 34 points.

The runner-up was Sam Melican on 33.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Michael Sargeant, 6th Colin Venn and 11th Stephen Arundell.

Six players competed in the nine-hole all-day event.

The winner was Pat Bourke on 22 points on a countback from Ian Brown, also on 22.

Next week will be stableford, all day nine-hole and 18-hole events.
