Fun for all
A STRONG crowd of families took advantage of the sunshine recently to enjoy a day of Easter holiday fun as part of the Camperdown and District Community House’s annual Family Fun Day.
Between 120 and 150 people visited Apex Park as part of the day, with Community House coordinator Emily Mercer pleased with the turnout.
“We could not have asked for better weather – it was really beautiful and sunny,” she said.
“We were really pleased with the amount of people who turned up – there were a number of people from outside Camperdown, which is always nice.
“Our face painting was absolutely by far the most popular activity on the day, so we’ll hopefully be bringing it back next year as well.”
The Camperdown Lions Club’s sausage sizzle was sold out on the day, with the club raising $140 to go towards their all abilities play space project.
Ms Mercer extended her gratitude to the Lions Club for running the barbecue, as well as to all those who were a part of the day.
“Big thank you to everyone who made the day possible – we had a great team of volunteers who were overseeing games and the craft, and all the activities on the day,” she said.
“It’s not possible without our amazing volunteer crew.
“We hope to see everyone again next year.”
