Fancy a cuppa?
ALL those in favour of a cuppa for a cause should look out for a special morning tea event at the Thompsons Hotel in Cobden on Tuesday, May 6 from 10am-12noon.
Cuppa and cake: A small donation for the Cancer Council can make a big difference at next week’s Biggest Morning Tea in Cobden.
The Biggest Morning Tea runs annually in May and raises funds for the Cancer Council.
Event coordinator Jenny Bongers said they ran the event through the National Bank in the area for 20 years until it closed and she wanted to take part in continuing it.
“When the bank closed four years ago – we’ve been doing it since then,” she said.
“Attendees can make a donation on arrival and there will be a number of raffles on the day.
“Bags of yoyos will also be for sale at the post office to contribute to fundraising.”
