Etherton wins at Mortlake

KEVIN Etherton finished on 33 points to win last Saturday’s stableford event at the Mortlake Golf Club.

Etherton won on countback from runner-up Richard van Diemen on 33.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Hamish Weatherly, 6/15 Glen Birnie, 9/18 Richard van Diemen.

Balls down the line went to Hamish Weatherly, Aaron Davies and Wes Wareham.

In the matchplay quarter finals, Aaron Davies def Jordan Wareham 2-1, Richard van Diemen def Kurt Robertson 3-1 and Wes Wareham def Ian Jubb 1-up.

Scott Richie will play David Hubbard in the remaining quarter final.

Next week’s event will be aggregate stableford.
