Eight-wicket loss for Tigers
WOORNDOO suffered an eight wicket loss to Pomborneit in round four of the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.
The Bulls sent Woorndoo in to bat, bowling the home team out for 92 in the 36th over.
Captain Tyler Mungean top scored with 27 from 48 balls, with vice-captain Jarryd Walsh making 16.
Woorndoo had no answer for Pomborneit leg-spinner Lahiru Fernando who took 4/9 from 9.5 overs.
Pomborneit passed the Tigers total in the 19th over, losing two wickets in the process, both taken by Walsh who finished with 2/18 from nine overs.
This week it’s the clash of the Tigers when Woorndoo hosts Simpson at the Woorndoo Recreation Reserve.
Woorndoo’s scheduled division three game against Cobden at Camperdown number two was abandoned as the division one Camperdown v Cobden game was moved from the Camperdown turf to the hard wicket.
This week the division three Tigers have a long road trip, playing Heytesbury-Princetown at Princetown.
