Club championship at Timboon
TIMBOON Golf Club members played stroke for the first round of the Timboon Championship last Saturday.
After the first round, Wes Hollick leads A grade on 75, followed by Peter Cashmore 76, Neil Gowland 77, Alistair Gillin 77, Phillip Brown 78, Jamie Norton 82 and Ben Saunders 85.
B grade is currently being led by Darren Smith on 76, followed by Jack Rowe 83, Geoff Norton 83, Chris Huffadine 84, Steven Crees 84, Steve Plozza 86, Richard Stone 90 and Chris Harkness 92.
Shaun McKenzie leads C grade on 84.
Shaun is followed by Tori Ziegelaar 87, John Bertram 94, Todd Brunt 95, Bill Finalyson 96, Mick Plozza 98, Gavin Rundle 99 and Barry Cook 101.
D grade is currently led by Franny Togni on 94.
She is followed by Mick Smith 98, George Watters 100, Bryan Ward 100, Gordon Broderick 104, Rhys Ziegelaar 108 and Percy Gillin 118.
Nearest the pins: 5th Alistair Gillin, 7th Peter Cashmore, 10th Jamie Norton and 14th Darren Smith.
Wes Hollick won a ball for his second shot on the 11th.
Thursday’s 12-hole Railway View chicken day was won by Steve Plozza with 24 points.
Runner-up was Gordon Broderick with 22 and nearest the pin was Mick Plozza.
This Saturday, November 22, will be men’s club championship round two.
Sunday will be men’s club championship round three and November monthly medals.
