City chase ends on rural property
POLICE have arrested a man and woman after they were followed by Air Wing from Avalon to Larralea last Thursday.
Chase stopped here: A man and woman have been arrested after fleeing Avalon, ending the chase on Ettrick Estate Road 124km away.
Air Wing first spotted a vehicle allegedly driving erratically on Princes Highway in Avalon about 10.20pm on Thursday, February 29.
With assistance from police on the ground, the car was located in Hamlyn Heights and followed by two helicopters through rural western suburbs.
The chase lasted for around 124 kilometres before stopping.
The car came to a stop at a property on Ettrick Estate Road in Larralea, around 13.5km away from Derrinallum
There were no injuries.
A 37-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Larralea, were arrested at the scene.
The man has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life and other driving-related offences.
He will appear in court at a later date.
