This season, 2023/24, she competed in the under 17 division, completing 12 years of competition as a Camperdown representative.

As an older athlete, Stella has contributed to Camperdown Little Athletics beyond just competing and the club thanks her for her contributions and wishes her well for the future.

The Camperdown Little Athletics Centre held its presentation night on Friday, March 22, celebrating a great year.

Many thanks to all athletes and families who enjoyed the evening.

The night saw the centre acknowledge athletes from across all ages for their achievements.

At Camperdown Little Athletics the club is all about family, fun and fitness, encouraging athletes to do their best and have fun.

This year the track and field awards were presented partially for points in placing, but with the main focus on attendance and personal improvement over the entire season, making every night count.

An amazing effort was put in by all athletes throughout the course of the season.

Congratulations to all the award winners.

Congratulations to both of these athletes.

In the junior under 6-8 encouragement awards, Eleanor Couch won the female award and Lewis Seabrook won the male award.

The efforts that these young athletes have put in to their growth of the sport has been lovely to see.

It is hoped they continue their journey in little athletics.

Every year the centre appreciates the help from all parents and volunteers to run a smooth program for the athletes each week.

This is greatly appreciated.

The centre likes to acknowledge all of the volunteers and recognise those that do the little bit extra to help out throughout the season.

This year saw two ladies receive the female Volunteer Award for their help and generosity throughout the season.

These were Anita Chivell and Camille Nicholls, while Owen Chivell was the recipient of the male Volunteer Award.

The Henk Gerbes award for best clubperson was awarded to Kathy Hallyburton.

Kathy Hallyburton is a long-standing committee member who has been involved in the Camperdown Little Athletics for the past 18 years.

Kathy always goes above and beyond for the centre.

Kathy not only helps to set up/pack up and run events on Friday night, she also helps run Monday night training, marks lines and spends many more hours helping watering the grounds and behind the scenes.

Most of all she is always there for advice and guidance.

Kathy is stepping back from the committee this year and will be missed.

The centre hopes to see her every now and again on Friday nights coaching during the upcoming season.

Thank you again Kathy for everything you have done for the centre.

Thanks to all parents, friends and committee and a big thank you to the centre’s sponsors.

Camperdown Little Athletics looks forward to seeing everyone return for the 2024/25 season.

The Camperdown Little Athletics Centre AGM will be held on Monday April 22 at 6pm at the Hampden Hotel. Everyone is welcome to attend.
