Cats take the win over Power

KOLORA-Noorat were competitive in their round 12 Warrnambool and District senior football match against top of the ladder Allansford, ultimately going down by 37 points.

The Power got out to a three-point lead at quarter time before being overtaken; Allansford running out 18.15.123 to 13.8.86 winners at the Allansford Recreation Reserve.

Mid-season recruit Bailey Cooper had his best game in Kolora-Noorat colours, his third senior appearance for the Power, netting five goals.

Other multiple goalkickers were captain Fred Beasley with three and Ted Kenna with two.

Teenager Taj Podger followed his first senior goal from the previous week with a second on Saturday as the Power’s only single goal kicker.

Nick Castersen, Sam Uwland, Henry Kenna, Beasley, Caleb Kavanagh and Cooper were named as Kolora-Noorat’s best.

At the mid-season break, the Power sit in eighth on the ladder, three wins out of the top five.

The next game for Kolora-Noorat is against Nirranda at Nirranda on July 11.

The reserves match saw Allansford have a strong 19.11.125 to 5.2.32 win.

Dylan Stone, Ben Whytcross, Alex Kenna, Jake Somerville, Brendan Gherashe and Marc Guy were Kolora-Noorat’s best, with the Power having five single goal kickers.

The under 18.5 football saw Allansford get the points with a 14.10.94 to 5.4.34 win.

Sonny Podger, Patrick Spokes, Ben Whytcross, Paddy Scanlon, Riley Menz and Luka Krizmancic were best for the Power, with Fletcher Tolland kicking three goals and Podger and Kai Tonkin one each.

The under 13.5s game saw Allansford win 5.4.34 to 2.1.13.

Crawford Dunn, Hamish Messer, Charlie Davis, Jack Menz, Archie Coxon and Rohan Elliott were best for the junior Power, with Jack Menz and Harrison Gurry kicking a goal each.

Emily Forrest, Tara Elliott and Hannah O’Connor were best for the Power in the loss, with Elliott shooting 22 goals and Forrest 13.

The A grade Power go into the mid-season break in fifth place on the ladder.

The A reserve game saw Allansford win 38-16.

Zoe James, Ruby Cain and Jessica Beasley were best for the Power, with Beasley putting through six goals.

The B grade game saw a 62-14 win to Allansford.

Linda Kenna, Meg Kenna and Emily Hayden were Kolora-Noorat’s best, with Alexandra Smith shooting nine goals.

The 17 and under netball saw Allansford have a 45-35 win.

Harriot Riches, Mayci Dwyer and Eliza Beaton were the Power’s best, with Riches shooting 22 goals and Beaton 13.

Allansford scored a 30-20 win in the 15 and under game.

Jade Byron, Dekohda Mcvilly and Syriah Guy were best for the Power, with Skyla Coburn scoring 16 goals.

The Power got the points in the 13 and under game with a 28-19 win.

Savannah Davis, Indi Blair and Tilli Hutchins were Kolora-Noorat’s best, with Indi Blair shooting 15 goals.

The 11 and under game saw Allansford win 24-2.

Rosie Selman, Aila Messer and Elsie Delaney were best for the junior Power team, with Delaney and Zoe Hayden shooting a goal each.
