Car damaged after clipping truck
A CAR received minor damage after clipping a truck on the Princes Highway on Tuesday morning.
Pay attention: Police are reminding drivers to remain aware of their surroundings after a truck clipped a car on Tuesday morning.
Camperdown Police Leading Senior Constable Don Camilleri said the truck involved was turning right from the highway onto Cross Forest Road.
“It’s a big truck, so it has gone a bit wide, so it can turn right,” he said.
“The car behind it through the truck was letting him through, and he’s decided to drive through as the truck was turning.
“He sideswiped the front of the truck. It was the passenger side, and he managed to get it across the road into some grass there.
“Nil injuries there, so it was good news. Further investigations are ongoing at this stage.”
Leading Snr Const Camilleri reminded drivers to take care on roads following the incident.
“Just be careful, be aware and don’t assume,” he said.
