Lucia Clarke and Charlotte Richardson are hoping to be selected for the Marg Jennings Winter Academy.

Bulls’ juniors Lucia Clarke and Charlotte Richardson attended a trial earlier this week to be part of the Marg Jennings Winter Academy at the Geelong Cricket Club.

Clarke was a member of both the Pomborneit Gold senior womens’ premiership team and the club’s under 17 girls premiership team last season.

Richardson was the Colac District Cricket Association 2023/24 under 13 Cricketer of the Year.

The Marg Jennings Winter Academy forms the first steps in the Cricket Victoria pathway.

Those selected in the academy will then be eligible for selection in the final playing squad for the under 15 Marg Jennings competition, run by Cricket Victoria in January.

This competition was previously known as the YPL and Rockets program.

Fletcher Tolland recently started training with the Western Waves under 16 initial training squad in Hamilton.

Tolland was selected after a successful under 15 Country Week in Horsham last season where he was named Player of the Week for the South West Cricket Association team.
