Biggest Morning Tea brews next month
THE kettle is boiling in preparation for next month’s Biggest Morning Tea event, with residents invited to bring along their cups for a conversation and cuppa.

The Camperdown Business Network’s annual event will be held on Wednesday, May 7 between 1pm and 5pm to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council.
Organiser Michelle Elijah thanked Revamp Hair and Beauty Salon proprietor Tarna Alexander for allowing the event to be held at 199 Manifold Street.
“Thanks to those businesses with a money collection jar on your counter,” she said.
“We would love any food donations for the day – I know we have some amazing cooks in our town.
“We are also selling yo-yo’s and fruit cakes kindly made with love by Christine (Clarke) and Carole (Manifold) – we have raised around $170 already.”
Attendees will be able to enjoy a tea or coffee and nibbles on the day, as well as participate in a variety of games on the day, for a gold coin donation on entry.
Door prizes will be available on the day, as well as raffles for $5, $2 and $1 prize hampers.
Ms Elijah said takeaway boxes for those who are unable to attend on the day will make a return, going for $10 per box.
“Take away boxes were a big hit last year and will be available again for those who cannot attend the day,” she said.
“Please let me know if you would like a box or two.”
To RSVP, or to order a takeaway box, contact Ms Elijah on 0488 605 554.
