Big win for young Lions

WITH Corangamite’s senior teams all having the week off, the Lions’ under 12 team was the only team in action last Sunday.

Playing at Wendouree West, the junior Lions recorded an 8-2 victory, their third win of the season.

Wilbur Reid and Jay Finlayson both scored hat-tricks, with Hamish Messer scoring the other two goals.

Reid scored in the 22nd, 30th and 48th minutes, with Finlayson scoring in the 49th, 53rd and 59th minutes.

Messer, the team’s leading goal scorer for the season so far with 12, kicked his goals in the 25th and 33rd minutes.

This Sunday all of Corangamite’s teams will be in action at the Camperdown Showgrounds.
