Barely a drop
DROUGHT conditions continued over the region throughout May, with Cobden experiencing rainfall well below the long-term average.

In Cobden just 30.8mm of rain was recorded during May, far below the 81.5mm long-term average.
The highest daily rainfall occurred on May 27 when 9.4mm hit the ground.
The result was up on the result for the same month in 2024, however, with 21.6mm falling last May – in part thanks to a highest daily result of just 6mm.
The May results bring the total rainfall experienced over Cobden to 107mm through the first five months of 2025, well below the 276.4mm long-term average over the same period.
