A day of fun for everyone

FAMILIES were treated to a day of fun last Friday as the Camperdown and District Community House ran its annual Family Fun day.

Community House coordinator Emily Mercer said attendees were enjoying the chance to have fun as a family.

“Well the weather held out for us and even though it wasn’t a huge crowd this time, everybody that came today had fun, and that’s what it’s all about,” she said.

“A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers and supporters of this annual event and who make it all possible.

“Our amazing volunteer team oversaw all of the activities happening on the day.

“We had a number of outdoor game stations, including dominos, bean bag toss, skittles, skipping ropes and more.”

Craft activities were also on offer, with children making Easter baskets and paper bunnies.

Ms Mercer extended her thanks to the Easter Bunny, who made a special visit for the day.

“We had a community barbecue and a chocolate egg count competition, which was won by Ellie Blackney who guessed the exact number of eggs in the jar,” she said.

“We will also be running activities like this during the next school holidays, but indoors. Watch this space.”
