New coaches to kick off training Friday, 17 February 2012 00:00
Junior coaches for 2012: Ray Jackson, Ash Sinnott and Paul Stephens are proud to be leading Camperdown’s youth football development.
CAMPERDOWN Junior Football Netball Club will kick start under 16 footy training next Tuesday afternoon.
The club has recently appointed its junior coaches for season 2012, along with a new and vibrant committee which will be headed by junior president Ash Sinnott.
Ray Jackson will coach the under 16s, Paul Stephens the under 14s, while Ash Sinnott and Andrew Bone will run the under 12 team.
According to Jackson, his team will be looking to improved on last season’s performance, where it narrowly missed playing finals.
“Camperdown has a long history of producing excellent junior footballers and this group is certainly no exception,” he said.
“They’re a terrific bunch and it should be a great year.”
He invited all existing and new under 16 players to training at the Leura Oval next Tuesday from 4.15pm.
It is anticipated training for the under 14s will start in the next few weeks.
“We’re really looking forward to an enjoyable season, with some fresh faces on the committee and some very keen junior coaches,” Sinnott said.
“It should be a great year for the club, its players and supporters.”
Tracey Baker has been appointed Sunday netball co-ordinator.
