TWO drivers were able to walk away uninjured after a collision on the corner of Pike and Fergusson streets on Tuesday afternoon.

A white Commodore sedan and a blue station wagon were damaged in the collision, which occurred about 2.25pm.

The Commodore was travelling west along Fergusson Street and the station wagon north along Pike Street when the incident occurred.

Senior Constable Shannon Kavenagh of Camperdown Police said neither party was injured, although extensive damage was done to the station wagon, which had to be towed away.

The Commodore received moderate damage but was able to be driven away.

Police from Camperdown and Cobden attended the scene, with a local CFA crew also attending.

“Thanks to the CFA boys for coming down and doing a wash away,” Snr Const Kavenagh said.

The intersection was closed for about an hour.
